I had made many attempts to fix some issues I was having running Umbrel. I was looking at buying a new unit and then it dawned on me I could flash Start9 and see if I could get it up and running on my old hardware.🤞

I like Umbrel because I can run it alongside other stuff on my server with the install command. I don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of setting up a full blown VM to run start9 but I’ll probably have to do that at some point. I wish there was a solid way to use containers in place of a VM but we’re not quite there yet
