When I reflect on the story of Ross Ulbricht, my main takeaway is the glaring inefficiency of government systems: the internal politics, lack of cooperation, interference, and the often questionable ethical boundaries crossed to achieve his conviction.

To top it all off, after years of effort and countless dollars spent to imprison him, the same government that relentlessly pursued him has now pardoned him, making him a free man once again. I suppose his pardon drives the point home, and perhaps this inefficiency is Trump’s ultimate message.
