I agree. I tell people all the time that mainnet fees may cost in the hundreds thousands or even 10s of thousands if #bitcoin is to serve as a global settlement layer of money. I suspect the average person will not be using mainnet in the future. see: lightning. Mainnet fees increasing does not equate to more expensive Bitcoin transactions. It just means more expensive Mainnet transactions. Technology (lightning) has deflated the cost of sending Bitcoin. Technology will keep deflating the cost of sending Bitcoin. see: ecash

Yes there are trade offs to cheap transactions. It's important we proceed with caution when using anything that isn't mainnet.
