Most scientists around the world have dropped the term BC (Before Christ) and started using BCE (Before the Common Era) in order to secularize it.

Very hypocritical imo, as they still use the Gregorian calendar, which was created by the Catholic Church.

You get something from a culture and try to erase their all symbols from it. Very scumbag behaviour.

I'm going to call bullshit on this one. I work on academia, surrounded by scientists most of time, most of my days. Haven't heard anyone doing this. I personally wouldn't mind since basing the calendar on fantastic events seems kind of dumb. Yet, never ever have I seen anyone doing it.

It's not me saying this; many scientists, several reputable scientific institutions, and even some national libraries have cited this as one of the main reasons. It's just one Google search away. Ask Bard!

I don't need to ask anyone, I've been around scientists my whole adult life and I still am. I regularly go to conferences and talk with other scientists on different countries. This is simply not true.
