i mean, he's not wrong though.

the idea that an application for a decentralized protocol needs to be on a centralized app store or else people throw a hissy fit is pretty funny.

i wouldn't call nostr a failure for it, but i think those pushing so hard for a native ios app should really think about the implications of what they are pushing for.

He is fully wrong.

The fact that an all is attempting to get distribution where users are says absolutely nothing about the protocol.

Just like bitcoiner a using YouTube for its distribution.

just like a smart bitcoiner that uses YouTube in addition to rumble, Odyssey, bitchute, etc for distributing their content in preparation for the inevitable ban hammer, nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s should have tossed damus iOS for damus web a long time ago when he was thinking about it. these iOS shenanigans were inevitable. instead of moving forward, he's stuck dealing with arbitrary bureaucracy that could change at any moment through no fault of his own, as we've seen.

I appreciate everything he's don't for this community but I think he starts considering fulltime on damus web or start porting to something more cross platform like react native or flutter.
