many don’t know she grew up in st. louis and went to school in the ville. she also worked as a nurse’s aid at barnes jewish hospital.
an impeccable woman through and through. what a sad day for music.

What a voice and energy! Probably my favourite female singer of all time.
My main gig at the moment is playing 8 shows a week on the Tina Turner musical in Sydney. We only opened last week, tonight is going to be a very heavy performance 😔 such incredible music
