Ukraine and the rest of (eastern) Europe that is currently shielded from Russia thanks to Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Russia were to capture the Ukraine it won’t stop there.
Supplying Ukraine seems to only lead to ongoing of the war killing many people in the process. Doesn’t seem like a winning goal to me 🤷♂️
Why do you feel Ukraine is “shielding” Eastern Europe? Poland is wide open from Belarus.
It’s a hopeless war because there is no scenario where Russia loses to Ukraine. Even if their army was weakened, the big nuke button is a press away. What exactly do you think the winning scenario looks like?

Other sides also have nuke button. Are we gonna surrender the countries to Russia one by one? Russia is not stopping if it gets Ukraine. Letting Russia capture the Ukraine just buys few years of peace with incoming war of possibly much worse outcomes. Try googling Crimea or Munich agreement. This pussing out in the past just let to much worse outcomes.
There is no winning scenario. There are bad scenarios and those even worse.
The least worse seems to be the one where the Russians are totally pushed out of Ukraine (including Crimea) and the Russia falls to pieces.
