NGL, we'd be literally crushed by the boot of nuclear regulation.
It's actually sickening the amount of over regulation that is going on in nuclear right now (and for the last 50 years). We spend way too much time on our knees in front of the NRC.
Sentiment for nuclear can get as high as ever, but without major reform in the NRC, we'll continue to build 1-2 plants a decade at best.

Do you think Google will be able to push reform now that they ordered SMR's from Kairos?
I get the purpose of regulation is to slow down things that are too efficient, I wonder if nothing changes until everything does and regulation fails in all industries.
We'll see. I actually think simply downsizing the NRC staff would help a lot. Maybe Elon will give them the axe 😂
