lmfao. I keep maps in my glove box and often print directions because my GPS can be super flakey. Thats why I allowed GPS because technically you don't need internet access for that, and we still have standalone gps devices.

I don't trust a GPS as far as I could throw it. So yeah :)

If I can throw it in the direction of the restaurant, then I trust it.

Some dumb phones allowed you to use the phones internet connection, that has been doable since dialup.

Yup quite a few stripped ones on the market i've been looking into. But back then I'd argue price and complexity kept it out of reach for the majority of users.

Yeah price was a killer.
