Haha that sounds like a start!! I’m glad we sent you down a tunnel (we need more people doing that haha). From what I’ve seen, found, heard - the entire industry is in Hong Kong. Many American button companies opened their own factories there. And then many wholesalers here, source from there. Not sure how that became the spot. And maybe I’m missing something. But that’s what I’ve found.

They’re made through some sort of stamping process. I don’t know what that means yet. But that’s a word I’ve heard thrown around..

So the pearl is a synthetic to be more durable than actual mother of pearl. And they are attached to the cap of the fastener that is shaped with a lip from what I can see.
