I believe the max file size is 10mb without an account. Not 100% sure that’s. That’s what I heard.

Yup! Anything over 10 and you should use the paid account. You can also compress your videos, which will also help.
Usually the problem is when you try to post .mov files instead of .mp4.
This is one option:
Adobe Media Converter also does a great job getting you to a target file size.
Nostr.build is great, and has a file size limit for free accounts.
