I logged into twitter after being absent from it a year. I thought that I would like to go grab some epic memes I posted.
After browsing through my old tweets for a while there was a popup.
"Is this still your phone number? +2**********"
I was annoyed, closed twitter and decided to abandon those memes.
Within the next half hour I had received five SMS messages with advertisemennts to products and services.
X jumps to monetise it's users. Using X is like being drugged and raped.
Fuck Elon Musk.
I mean we only have 36k people on here and daily people are asking for sats/subscriptions and to follow podcasts/etc, minus the sms messaging, characteristics aren’t too far off in some ways sadly 🤷♂️🤔✌️
