unusually use graphite, love it for some reason but I have lots of those micro felt tip pens that I like to use, especially for cross hashing
I actually love drawing with Bic pens. They’re cheaper than pencils and can be used to build up very light texture in drawings.
Here’s an example of a drawing I did of a dog using pencil for the bottom tone, Micron pen for the darker hairs, and good ol’ Bic pens for the lighter ones:
