I don't think a lack of any sort of official training is a meaningful way to undermine Paul, the education establishment sucks anyway. But I definitely think he is carb addicted. I think his primary issue was probably liver. When I tried to incorporate liver it left me feeling like crap. When I eat avocados or fruit I generally feel extra tense very quickly afterward, particularly in my neck & I often have aches & other signs of inflammation, sometimes for days. Has happened too many times to just be a coincidence. I have had times where I craved leaner cuts which, in the context of what was said here, is kinda interesting. I don't seem to have any sort of electrolyte issues tho. Most supplements seem to just have negative effects.
you should try yohimbe
i had a cramping problem and it's basically stopped that completely
i suspect that this is to do with amylose forming from high blood sugar, and yohimbe increases amylase in the *blood* (not pancreatic or salivary) and that lets it mop up the amylose that is clogging up your nerves and organs and it gives you tremendous energy and yeah, like i said, stops cramps, dead... i have passed this new information on to my sister as i believe now, almost certain, that amylose is a factor in rheumatoid arthritis, which she has suffered all her adult life (25 years now)
i only developed the cramps and muscle weakness, and the first acute symptom was double vision and i now am convinced that all of these problems boil down to chronic long term high blood sugar, and not having the genetics to turn it into fat, basically
i hope that helps you, i am pretty sure it's literal amylose - a form of starch - clogging up everything, and yohimbe helps you push that back while you drop your carb intake and you will also be able to do more exercise
I agree on the first point - what matters is whether you can back up what you are saying with reason and evidence.
When I started carnivore I developed a craving for liver which went away after some time. I suspect I had some deficiency. I can imagine that "forcing" yourself to eat liver without any special craving for it might result in overexposure to something or other.
But my theory about what happened to Paul is Vitamin C depletion due to experimenting with honey (the extra carb increases Vitamin C requirement) leading to fruit cravings.
My theory of what happened to Saladino: carnivore reduces carbs and thereby reduces Vitamin C needs. Paul experimented with honey because it's an animal product and found his blood sugar was well-controlled (he was insulin-sensitive). But now he's taking on more carbs and is craving sweets for Vitamin C to be able to process them, so he turns to fruit.
