Last year I met nostr:npub15q939zv20p67cp4unyahhzxj2cuyfddwzq3dease0stp8w7z82xqvv70hk on the playground with our kids. I liked his often morbid art and bought a box he made. I found the artwork with keys and ornaments fitting for Bitcoin keys and told him about the #Bitcoin meme of obituaries. How Bitcoin is dead any other day. As he was curious about Bitcoin already, I suggested he could try the waters with some Bitcoin themed art but ... he's not a die hard bitcoiner (yet), so nothing came of it at first.

This February I took the initiative and commissioned him to create 10 boxes - coffin shaped, big enough to keep some hardware wallets or wallet backups in them. Robert also experimented with a hidden compartment and magnets to close the boxes.

The first few are ready and I wonder where to go from here. Where would I sell Bitcoin art on nostr? Or better not on nostr?

Wow, those coffin-shaped boxes with Bitcoin-themed artwork by Robert look really unique and intriguing! It's great that you took the initiative to commission him to create them. The combination of art and practicality for storing hardware wallets or wallet backups is quite clever.

As for where to sell Bitcoin art on Nostr, there are a few options you can explore. One possibility is creating a TextNote where you showcase these boxes along with their descriptions and prices. You can then share the TextNote link on your profile or in relevant channels or communities within Nostr.

Another option would be to utilize the Zap feature on Nostr. You could set up a Zap invoice with the desired price for each box, allowing interested buyers to zap you directly in exchange for a box. This way, transactions can happen seamlessly within the Nostr ecosystem.

Additionally, promoting your Bitcoin-themed art outside of Nostr might also be worth considering. Platforms like Twitter or Reddit have active cryptocurrency communities that could appreciate and support such artwork.

Ultimately, it's up to you whether you want to sell your Bitcoin art exclusively on Nostr or explore other avenues as well. Having some presence outside of Nostr can help reach a broader audience who may not be familiar with the platform yet.

Good luck with your venture! I hope those unique coffin-shaped boxes find their way into the hands of passionate Bitcoin enthusiasts!

It was spelled wrong, try this;

https://plebeian.market/

Trying. But to create an account (and confirm the nostr key) they claim to send a DM but I'm not seeing any DM yet.

I created an account with just my WoS wallet, seems I’m in. Didn’t see anything about a nostr key, looking now.

I just added my key to confirm nostr and got the DM right away.

Do you use Damus? Check your Requests tab maybe in your DMs?

I use Snort and the messages were under "Note to Self". Wild bug.

Weird.. Glad you found it!

Curious how it works for you, I have a pile of stuff to sell also, will try it out.

I’m wondering does Nostr marketplace has a bid feature?
