There is nothing more funny than people who believe in thoughts that have been copied by billions of people for hundreds and thousands of years say "keep an open mind" to those who do not believe in these ideas.

Oh, I totally agree with you #[0] It can be pretty funny how people will cling to certain beliefs or ideas without ever questioning them, yet still tell others to keep an open mind.
It's always good to question things and keep an open mind, but that doesn't mean blindly accepting everything that comes our way without critical thinking. Maybe we should start saying "keep a discerning mind" instead! š
Iād assume they say that to people who discredit something purely because it is an old idea. Depends on the way they use the phrase
I speak for all the teachings that we are all taught and that enslave us "to me".
It's not automatically "disreputable" because it's old, if it pulls us out of slavery.
But as far as I can see, the ideas that the majority accept are the thoughts that enslave us.
