There is nothing more funny than people who believe in thoughts that have been copied by billions of people for hundreds and thousands of years say "keep an open mind" to those who do not believe in these ideas.

I’d assume they say that to people who discredit something purely because it is an old idea. Depends on the way they use the phrase

I speak for all the teachings that we are all taught and that enslave us "to me".

It's not automatically "disreputable" because it's old, if it pulls us out of slavery.

But as far as I can see, the ideas that the majority accept are the thoughts that enslave us.
