Do people actually unironically use chatGPT as a therapist?

One of the first chatbots was called Eliza and basically just acted as a therapist. It was incredibly stupid, but it actually managed to fool people because it just kept on asking vague questions.

Modern chatbots are similarly vacuous in the sense that they have an unfortunate tendency to shower you in compliments and just repeat whatever you say back at you.

I would not be surprised if the mentally ill and the naive think that counts as meaningful conversation.
