Depends on if it's Norwegian (Nei, pronounced with a rising end), Swedish (Nej) or Danish (Nej, pronounced like you have a potato in your mouth).
Ooh. "nei" has an upturn. Fits to my accent.
Norwegian is very sing-song. Lovely to listen to, it almost makes you happy.
