I just realized I’ve owned bitcoin for a bit over 7 years now.
It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long, until I remember…
• It was the middle of the blocksize war, bcash didn’t exist yet.
• The only coins sold on Coinbase were Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum.
• Swan, River, and Strike didn’t exist; CashApp didn’t sell Bitcoin.
• No SegWit, no Lightning Network.
• Peter Schiff was posting the exact same disproven nonsense he is today.

There were almost no podcasts back then. We Talk Bitcoin was about the only one aside from a few episodes of JRE and EconTalk.
I don’t think I really started listening to bitcoin podcasts until about 2019, when I found nostr:npub14mcddvsjsflnhgw7vxykz0ndfqj0rq04v7cjq5nnc95ftld0pv3shcfrlx. Listened to Pomp early on, too, when he was more bitcoin focused.
I used to look for bitcoin podcasts every couple weeks so I began listening to WBD after the second episode. I signed up for his free Crypto Trading course. I actually did okay. Back then, I didn't know ICO's were a scam.
Our timelines are similar. I am class of 2017, just in time for the block size wars, and initially spiraled down the rabbit hole with the help of the Magical Crypto Friends, etc! Ahh, glory days. Time flies, and amazing to think how much I've learned since then. If not for Bitcoin, I'd be viewing the macro landscape very differently at present -- and I'd have missed much of what is true and real. 🙏

I bet you aren't even stinking rich, even though anyone who might have heard this will probably think you must be a billionaire the way people keep talking about bitcoin as a bubble.
But you probably have reconsidered your life goals and priorities. 🫂
Definitely not rich. Especially not stinking rich. I had little kids and no money when I discovered bitcoin, so I slowly tiptoed in. The first $100 I ever traded into bitcoin got me ₿0.06. I’ll let you (or any future reader) do the math on what that’s worth today. The second $100 got me half as much bitcoin, then it never dropped that low again.
