What if the purest expression of my nature was to misbehave against one of your sacredly held values? You'll run away?
ya. I don't associate with people when their values are just far too different from my own.
How do you assess whether someone has better values than you?
values are personal. Data helps. If you decide something like health is important then you can look at what brings about human wellness and what harms it and that can help you in forming your values.... for example I value community.
