Xapo was on the wrong side of history during the blocksize wars so it's not promoted much by maxis but it's a great bank. the founder is an OG.

yeah, anything else right now would be too much of a step down, it balances out especially if i do finally catch a good updraft at some point, and keep my stack growing long term. i can definitely recommend but the fee is a big startup cost. it was only 150 the first year. card keeps working, they have full lightning in/out, which i use exclusively because otherwise the option is a static deposit address which i don't know how to say enough bad things about.

i downloaded the Xapo app just to see if it lets me in the US. $1000 is a bit much but it's fun to browse around the Xapo website.

i'm living like a Mennonite now on a BitRefill standard: no loans, no credit card debt. i paid off the IRS 8.5% apr monthly payment plan.

i'm really enjoying sending bitcoin transactions to BitRefill to get giftcards. it really makes the benefit of bitcoin obvious over silver/gold.

i believe i'm also saving the merchants' 3% transaction fees over credit cards.

bitrefill has about 0.5% spread which is as good as it gets.

i think Ledn also used a static deposit address... it was only useful because at least i could recognize it and clearlist it if necessary
