I can't imagine how in the future people will find out we lived on a fiat standard and not think we must all have been crazy.
I remember I had to laugh when I was told about Afrika and them using glass beats as money, then the English would just move ships full of it in and use it to buy half of Afrika.
The future will just judge the same on us.
And to be honest it is that stupid..
If someone can create money out of thin air, who is stupid enough to go and work for it ?

Sometimes I think that when the world wakes up and looks back, they will see us the same way we now see civilizations that were manipulated with trinkets.
