Good morning ☀️

Today I’m on collecting mission, as long as it dries up a little, since there was a storm tonight.

We have a big linden tree in our village, it’s blooming time so I want to harvest linden blossoms 🌸

Then umm a flower called St. John’s wort, in German „Johanniskraut“, my grandma told me they are growing in the chicken enclosure, so I will check that out! 🌼

Both wildherbs have a calming effect, for example. If you know more about them let us know!

At this point I feel like I want to collect all the knowledge I gain so I have my own little herb lexicon. Maybe I start with creating a notion project. 📖💚🌿 #wildherbs #herbs

GM! Very cool!

Thank you! I’m so into this. When I find an interesting topic hyperfixation hits me. 😂

GM ☀️ good luck for the mission & 🌿notion 🙏💚

Yo thank you 💚 my head is full of ideas… such like that I want to make my garden a herb garden to a specific extent (so I can still grow veggies) but I already find some interesting things there so 😊🔥🌿 how’s your day so far?

Good morning lovely 🫶🏼

Good morning, Franny!

Enjoy your collecting! ☺️

Goooooood mooooornigsten ☀️☀️🫂 will do, enjoy your day!!

It's going to be hot today. I am glad my new vehicle has working AC... 😁

I wonder how people survived without AC in cars 😂

Congratulations to your new car! 🥳

Yesterday we had about 86°F and a storm at night now it was raining again 😁

Rolled the windows down and sweated a lot... LOL!

It was 96*F here yesterday, and today is supposed to peak at 98*F here, with a high humidity. 🫠

Mine has had no AC for 3 summers now🤣

I am all too familiar with this.

Love this! late good morning and in the meanwhile good evening 💜 Hope you had a great day collecting these treasures!💚

Linden blossoms are also good for flushing out the kidneys and bladder, especially in the case of inflammation (bladder), without causing additional irritation. Linden blossoms also contain a lot of mucilage, which moistens the mucous membranes. They also soothe the stomach.

St. John's wort strengthens the nervous system, works against depression and strengthens the heart. Best taken together with hawthorn. However, there are people who are very sensitive to St. John's wort in the summer and it can cause spots (pigment changes or even like burns) on the skin. Depending on the dosage, of course.

I so love both medicinal plants! If you rub St. John's wort flowers between your fingers, it turns blood red, even though the flower is yellow. I find that so fascinating.
