Been doing a mental defrag this week by playing Octopath Traveller.

Yesterday I took a CBD infused bath and played for an hour in the bathtub using Xbox remote play to the iPad Pro.

Fun game, reminds me of playing Chrono Trigger as a kid.

Does anyone else use gaming as a way to mentally reset after a long period of stress or general busyness?

What are some other ways to mentally reset / defrag? When I get into this mode of gaming to reset, I sometimes end up laying on the couch for 6 hours … not good ergonomics!

Same Same here. There is a mandatory gaming slot in my month where I aim to not think about any work / project related stuff. Although gaming is probably not the best primer for a refresh of mind it opens myself up for new ways of thinking and perspective when i come back to work.

This game reminds me a bit of FF2 (aka FF4) and took me back to my SNES days.

Damn Chrono Trigger was good

Hate to break it to you pal… but gaming is not how you reset from stress. Sit up right and breathe without screens for a bit and I bet you feel even more relaxed. 🧘🏻

There’s something about gaming that is a mental defrag for me.

I’m given objectives and I have to do those objectives.

I do an extended (more than 42 hours) water fast at least once a year; on day 4, currently aiming for 21 days. Helps to reset me physiologically and mentally, & kick starts both growth hormone, as well as autophagy (bad cell cleanup to create improved cells). These hormones have great muscle hypertrophie effects (especially with exercise), as well as anti-aging effects.
