“Civilization has always been patriarchal. Without patriarchy society will crumble”

A common but objectively false claim. For evidence see Çatalhöyük, Minoan Civilization, my personal favorite the Indus Valley Civilization, prehistoric "Old Europe", and the Iroquois Confederacy just for starters.

What is quite true is that patriarchy has been popular in recorded history in the past ~2k years. What was also very popular and core to the functionality of “civilization” in recorded history is slavery.

This isn’t so much about history as it is about your values.
