And the guests were already partying and had just RUN OUT of wine. John 2:10 (cAPSLOCK version): "Why would you give us cheap wine to start, get us drunk, and then bring out the GOOD STUFF?!?!?"

Not only that.,.. but there is a strong possibility that the water he used for the purpose of keeping the party going was set aside for holy and religious purposes during the wedding ceremony. In this day large amounts of water were harder to come by than they are today. So what was more important to Jesus? Ritual or celebration? ;)

That said... I am a man who has struggled with alcohol.
