It's clear Trump and his team view it as a product, a piece of merch, a souvenir for fans.
Not a serious financial asset.
But something they can use to raise money and capture attention.
Going hardcore Bitcoin-only would alienate a lot of voters.
Also, seems to me to be a distraction. A decoy for people (foreign and domestic) to get caught up with while moves are made elsewhere.
