That said, I think it would be very helpful to have more multi-platform clients. It’s kind of confusing to have some that only exist for Android or iOS.

this so much, Primal and Damus are both gonna win big on going multi-platform 💜

Alby as an app would do numbers also, for example

It is, but IE and Safari aren't multi-platdorm. Though we should strive to be better.

that’s due to monopolising and keeping the user in the ecosystem, taking advantage of the “skin in the game” thing.

I’ll give you that, but everyone knew that Netscape, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc. were web browsers. They didn’t confuse the client with the protocol. So it’s not a perfect comparison.

I think the same would apply here. Use Damus/Snort/etc to access the Nostr

And with Nostr, people will know it's social communication. The world wide web is just the non technical term for http. Social communication is just non technical for nostr.

But yes, people did confuse a client with the protocol.

Most people just call the app “Internet”. They don’t know Chrome from Edge from Safari. They just use whatever’s built-in.

They used to be.

Excited to see more and more of that, and the fact just it’ll get mentioned as, oh, by the way, it’s on Nostr 💜
