I know nothing about freeze drying... How long do cycles take?

About 24 hours, but it depends on what you are freeze drying. If it is something very juicy or thicker, it could take longer. If it drier and/or in smaller/thinner pieces, it could take less.

I love my freeze dryer. I don't know if I've gotten my money's worth yet (I have used it a good bit), but it has been fun and I am freeze drying higher quality stuff than what you can normally buy in a store.

Thanks! That's something I will worry about after I hold a home, then. Thank you!

I just bought 35 pounds of BC Gala apples for $13.50. Guess where they are going?

Our cycles run between 24-36 hours generally.

That's not too bad, but it's longer than even my ignorant presuppositions would have led me to guess. I would want a high capacity for that kind of time and energy.
