Regardless of tariffs, the best thing to do is to buy from local producers and small businesses first wherever possible. When this isn't possible, consider where the product is being made and who is making it, and whether that aligns with your values as to who you want to be supporting with your money. Sometimes it costs more but you often end up with a better quality product than you get with cheap mass produced imports.

So true. I wonder if this is merely an adjustment to policy put in place by Regan and Thatcher way back when? Or if it is the start of its unwinding?
