You could run a node on a Raspberry Pi 3, right? If so, about $35 for just the Raspberry Pi.

If a node can be ran on a pi 3 then that's about it. You will need an SSD external drive (1TB), a monitor, a keyboard/mouse, and an sdcard.
We used a beginner's guide because we're no experts on 🥧 😁
