I wanted to know how we can get some sats into these insanely talented artists pockets and bring them to bitcoin-verse and nostr-verse.

Mastercard sponsored the whole showcase and honestly I feel like as bitcoiners the fiat and shitcoiners reach artists faster. There are also lots of distribution issues etc etc so I wanted to see if we can make a connection between the 2 spaces.

I have shared wavlake but lets talk about how can make bitcoiners a factor in music in a way that makes the artists thrive.

Yes! So totally up for this. A lot of the shitcoin apps come off glitzy, but I’ve been saying that they fail when it comes to payment or royalty splits or even authentic tracking of plays etc…

They get good marketing budget, good amount of people (but still mostly other musicians, not fans), however, being paid in volatile shitcoin vs hard money is not the one and if that ‘token’ is up, it’s just a temporary vanity metric when they launch them.

There needs to be many more WavLake, Fountain, Tunestr apps and many more regular users/fans on them. The easier to use the better.

I have so many ideas 😁

One thing to note. The absolute best thing about Podcasting 2.0 (aside from BTC payments) IS the distribution.

You upload, you are everywhere already, no paying some yearly fee to have your music on all platforms and keep it there. We’re not just so early, we are too early! 🫡

They are all pretty new to nostr/bitcoin so bear that in mind.

What can they do to bring in sats at an album release? It would be cool if nostr:nprofile1qy8hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnvdakqzrmhwden5te0dehhxarj9ekk7mgqyrpazrw823peryjq09zddtrwpwx85k8mu0vmj5xwu0j8u4xcs59dgxprn53 and nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqpqyfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9sldm58v could talk. They could sell the album for sats, uplkoad to wavlake and receive sats, do a livestream and get zapped?

These are just some ideas I had but wanted to connect the bitcoiners + musicians to grow our little enclave and do something tangible.

The livestream element for sure, also the release to WavLake to be promoted to their fans. We like to put stuff there exclusively, at least for launch and some time after, maybe including tracks not released elsewhere.

Many ways to sell their album for sats, just depends on what they are most comfortable with.

They should join the WavLake TG if they want to connect with the team and community for sure.
