Hey Developers! 👋🏾

What's the one piece of advice you wish you had when you started coding?

Mines was breaking down complex problem into smaller manageable parts

master nonvisual spatial compartmentalization.

compartmentalization. Man I always forget something in that category 😑

What do you do if you don't mind me asking?

i write code from time to time, some articles, some memes

What do you write in? And do you do front end or backend (no freaky )🤣

Mostly backend and I favor Python, Golang, C. My front end web development is raw HTML, Javascript, CSS, no frameworks - i made a conscious decision around 2003 to focus on backend as teams I was on needed someone to fill data and security gaps. For game like development I prefer C# and Unity. Actually for any windows development C# is preferred.

C# is seriously underrated

Learn hardware. I mean start with the Intel 8086 and learn how it works. Learn a bit of assembly. Learn C and make it your best friend.

Then learn the tools of your target domain.

I believe this makes better programmers than any amount of toolchain knowledge without it. I did it backwards. If I could go back, I’d do it in order and save myself a lot of bad code.
