My advice, find your local Bitcoin meetup or start your own. This will get you in regular contact with IRL bitcoiners and is a great resume builder for a potential future Bitcoin job. Plus no permission, and no application needed.

Thanks! I've been running my local meetup for over 2 years. We went from 2-3 people to at least a dozen per meetup. The meetups have been vital in keeping my sanity!
