The tutorial mode shows nothing interesting that you can actually do with vim. My professor who introduced it to me also failed to do so and everybody in my program missed out for years as a result.

I simply don't think a text editor should need a tutorial, I would be happy with something like nano that just tells you on-screen what you need to press to do basic stuff and then power users can turn off babby mode when they're ready

what I'm sick of is retards swearing vim is the best and *those same retards* struggling to do basic text editing and forcing me to sit through a screen share session of them flailing about
