I haven't done it yet, but there are "Linux distros" in the MS store. If I'm required to run Windows again, I might install one of those instead of Cygwin. This could come in handy when working on someone else's computer though.
it's very easy to set up the linux thing... subsystem whatever it is... lol i've used it but i hate it, there is no better terminal than the GTK VTE terminal
linux GUI on WSL is all based on wayland weston compositor and it doesn't respect CSD and looks pig ugly like windows 7 without aero
can be done though, it just is a poor second best to actually running linux
