This did happen to me. It was a golden retriever that lived 10 happy years amongst us.
I must confess, it took some time to get used to the house destruction tho. nostr:note1ctfj6384geup8n4rj5kyu64qvcpk5ugwfrh9ghr6y9a0q68t7dhsyvdepy

Same. Not a dog guy.
Family made me, by force, rescue a black lab puppy.
He's the best. Trained him well as a puppy & we are now BFFs.
I wonder if we got along with the idea subconsciously hoping for something like this to happen.
As a child I was bitten and only lost fear after our dog entered our lives.
Interesting thought...
So then compound that over to all the things that we deflect ourselves from.
What are we actually missing out on in our lives? 😳🤷🏻♂️
That’s one of the reasons I encourage my daughter to explore her curiosity, sometimes the gifts we receive by giving a chance to something new can change our lives.
Case in point, this community, little my little, these small doses of camaraderie makes a difference on people’s day.
Cheers to that!
