Yea, donโ€™t get me wrong I like seeing the demonstrations like heโ€™s doing. It helps show that value can be moved seamlessly anywhere in the world. We see a lot of demonstrations like this, though. It would also be interesting to see if someone can really earn enough from zaps to live on.

Would this be testing whether value4value really works or if there are enough people on ~Nostr~ to make it possible to sustain someone's lifestyle?

Because if it's the former, I think fiat spaces like only fans has already proved value4value works.

Yea V4V works given the right circumstances (access to banking services in the US, for instance), so this would more a test of whether someone on nostr can use nostr and zaps to earn enough to cover their cost of living. I imagine if itโ€™s possible at all, it would only be in certain parts of the world where cost of living is relatively low.

I do think right now zap amounts are low because there isn't enough Bitcoin flowing through Nostr. It's not a circular economy until we have a way to pump Bitcoin to people while they are on Nostr who can then zap content they like. (See #attentionmarketplace)

Right now everyone is either passing the same Bitcoin back and forth or a generous Satoshi millionaire is just throwing it around. That's not sustainable and probably why this may only work for now in a handful of countries.

I aspire to be able to make a living from it, but it's a tough start to make a name for yourself on Nostr. I work hard and stay focused ๐Ÿซก

What do you mean "ah yes sorry" - how the fuck does it skew the results?

Sorry, I misread his initial text or I wouldn't have replied.

Never say sorry to me if you're genuinely trying your best. I can't tell due to my paranoia and people who are genuinely trying their best are not who I mean to attack

I try to do my best every day. But to apologize is not to show weakness. I apologize for having misunderstood the message because I read it too quickly, it's my fault.

You're right, that's healthy. I too apologize for taking such a hostile approach when you've previously shown sign of trying to be pretty neutral/fair

Thank you for understanding. I appreciate your willingness to acknowledge the situation. Let's move forward in a more positive way ๐Ÿค

Sorry my other reply was over dramatic, use any words you want but don't let me make you feel bad was what I meant

Thank you comrade for your message
