I remember you could burn 700mb to a CD and that felt like a LOT, but it took like 20 mins.
Still felt like magic tho

Zip disks nearing 1gb was my favorite time in storage
I once setup a small business running windows with a backup plan to automate burning a CD every night with a script gathering all and calling Nero from command line and the CEO would take it off site in case of disaster.
As a kid it was like magic 🪄 💿
I remember the first time I put a CD in a 52x drive. Thought it was going to explode. lmao
nero burning rom 🤙🏻
I remember when it would take about 7-12 hours to download several discographies and a few movies and then about another hour or two to put everything on discs for distribution. Extra time (and money) for custom playlists.
Those were the days 🏴☠️
Dating myself, but I remember the day when there were only mainframes.
