I had to roll back my software using the terminal to an earlier version and that did the trick.

Whew, good to hear. I've got a million sats locked in a long-dead channel on a long-dead umbrel brick in my closet and have been hoping I could just build a new one and restore to get at those funds.

Is there a particular set of instructions you followed to do this?

I believe if you have your seed phrase, you can refresh on a new Umbrel build.

I was using Citadel, not umbrel. Aaron adviced against doing this as you can lose data with rollbacks.

The best way is to do continuous backups and restore from new install if you have issues.
