That’s what I wanted most - Ive worked on automatic watches before but the equipment belonged to the shop and I can’t afford it on my own.
What I most like about this is that you can just pop another movement in and keep going.
One day down the line, I may roll out a line of automatics and use NH35 movements.

It has a date wheel, but the NOSTR at 3 o’clock covers it.
I wanted the dial to be readable from a few feet away, and a small cut-out square would take away from the design.

I actually made a mistake, the movement is actually a Casio 2784, which is nice and durable for the price. I had read the wrong specs on these apparently. Sorry everyone!
