Ive been using NATHAN running belt/waist packs for years and over time, they always begin tearing/fraying on one side. Does anyone else have this issue or know of a repair solution?

You should report it to the manufacturer if you haven't already.
My amateur opinion is that it's the zipper pull rubbing and catching on the fibers. Maybe try a coat of clear nail polish to smooth out any rough spots on it?
I’m not sure the issue but can recommend a FlipBelt. I’ve been running with it for a year now and have had zero issues. I’m not sure it’ll hold everything you bring on your run though.
