Same here! Sorry can’t help! I just redid my home office and was thinking of adding plants and maybe a bonsai! But I am not sure I have what it takes! 🥺
You don't need a kit. You can do it all with side snips or pliers you can get at a hardware store for ten bucks. Some wire, a shallow dish, and a tree. Start em normal or pick a seedling out of the woods. Grow em just like normal. I start my bends in the first season before they go dormant in the cold. If they don't get dormancy, they'll only live a few years. If you bend them after dormancy, they'll be harder and more brittle-most species. The hardest part is the first wire work. Any dish you like will do, just make sure it has a drain hole. Over watering can kill and the roots, from what I can tell just playing with it for a few years, the roots like to breathe. If you like a dish and it doesn't have a port, a cylinder Dremel bit will solve that in about ten minutes. Some of mine are in cat food dishes 😆 I don't know everything but I'll be happy to help any way I can.

Albizia Julibrissin-silk tree-is a personal favorite. They're invasive on almost every continent, they're African by nature and I'm pretty sure they don't need dormancy, though they don't mind it a bit, and you basically don't have to do anything with them. They're used to drought and nutrient deficiency. I lost my favorite one trying to give it fresh soil. They'd probably thrive year round inside.
