In Chile a "temporary" gas tax was created for tasks of rebuild the infraestructure after 1985 earthquake.

That rebuild finished decades ago, and most of the infraestructure have been privatized since then.

But the tax still exists, and now the justification is the "climate change" and was renamed to "green tax" lmao
