Hi nostr, this gloomy day has come to an end, and so far we've had about 12" of rain in the last 3 days. We might get another round late tonite. Seems to be feast or famine for us when it comes to rain. But i'm thankful that today's power outage only lasted a few hours, and that we were mostly prepared. It was a reminder that we shouldnt take modern conveniences for granted.

I mostly worked on indoor projects today, as it continued to pour rain all day, but i think tomorrow the rain should move out. Anyway, yall have a good evening nostr friends.

I always feel like I missed an opportunity with large rain events; my geeky, permie brain gets sad that I don't have earthworks to capture and retain that surplus moisture, and everyone around me just shunts the water off with tile and surface ditches. Someday I will dig lots of holes and it will be glorious.
