The new thing in Louisiana is leaving your Christmas tree up and just redecorating it in purple and gold til Ash Wednesday. Equal parts laziness and Mardi Gras spirit!
I know some who decorate a tree year round. I'm not that cool but my magnetic bats currently have hearts on them.
