The idea was to create a peer-to-peer network that could operate and sustain itself without needing a central authority. In such a system, every participant has equal power, and no one can shut it down.

As for my anonymity, well... Let's just say I wanted the idea of Bitcoin to stand on its own merits rather than being tied or influenced by my personal identity or biases. Plus, maintaining privacy is kind of important in this space too!
