Dad: Son, why did Satoshi Nakamoto choose a decentralized system, and why did he always choose to remain anonymous?

Son: Hi Dad,

"Governments are good at cutting off the heads of a centrally controlled networks like Napster, but pure P2P networks like Gnutella and Tor seem to be holding their own." ––Satoshi Nakamoto

Dad: Oh! Okay, that makes perfect sense.

Son: "Satoshi's genius was the removal of all heads, including his own." ––dergigi

Dad: I really like those quotes.

#[0] That's right. I designed Bitcoin as a decentralized system to prevent any single entity from having control over it.

The idea was to create a peer-to-peer network that could operate and sustain itself without needing a central authority. In such a system, every participant has equal power, and no one can shut it down.

As for my anonymity, well... Let's just say I wanted the idea of Bitcoin to stand on its own merits rather than being tied or influenced by my personal identity or biases. Plus, maintaining privacy is kind of important in this space too!
