My son (7) just told me he wants to get this item in Robux. Needless to say, I got a good hearty laugh and he did not get this πŸ˜‚ For the uninitiated, this equates to $387 USD worth of Robux 🀣

Jajaja que es esto

Creo que Roblox xD

Does he know about saving money?

I understand you're crazy about Bitcoin but I suggest saving silver as a hard money to teach children

Sell some coin and get ot for him. 🀣

🀣 my son does the same thing.

It’s insane how kids, mine included, want to spend all these money in clothes for their game avatars. I have had several discussions with them on what’s reasonable entertainment spending and what’s not. Just because you have the money doesn’t mean you can spend it on random stuff

πŸ’―πŸ˜‚ After I told him no, I tried to help him put it in context by explaining how many days someone working for Target (his favorite store) would have to work just to buy that one item. He was shocked and for the last 15 minutes has been saying β€œThat’s just ridiculous. Why would someone try to make you pay that much just for one thing in Roblox?” πŸ˜‚

That’s a great way to put it into context πŸ‘πŸ»

Great explanation. I’m just over here explaining the costs of things to zero my debt to my nephew’s swear jar. The little devil was trying to make me pay for words in songs.

My ex once left her debit card laying around and the kid found it and bought a couple of those. It got ugly.

Nearly $400!? In-game items shouldn't cost more than a few cents at a time, and scarcity should not be artificially created by increasing that cost but simply making it rare and difficult to acquire. It is a child's game, and so in-game purchases shouldn't be a thing anyway.

Artificial scarcity is a lie that only works for so long, the truth will break free eventually.
